Plant with us

As you begin the great journey of church planting exploration, you may be wondering, “How do I know if ‘Church Planting’ is where God wants me?” If so, you are not alone. The most effective church planters all began with a head full of questions about their place in this ministry.

To help you navigate these uncertain waters, the Inland NW Church Planting Group has provided a number of resources to help discern this calling. One great resource is the “Discovery Tools” workbook. You can download this book online by clicking the below link. This workbook asks a number of questions about your calling, spiritual giftedness, and passion for ministry. Answering these questions will give you and the group a better understanding of how you fit into the Church Planting ministry.

There is also a quick initial online assessment you can take (see link below) as a quick test.

Being confident of God’s calling to Church Planting is only the first step in the process of becoming a Planter.  Those that God has called must also determine where His Spirit is leading them to plant a church.  Experience has demonstrated that God calls certain people to plant churches in particular areas.  In His wisdom, God matches the personalities, socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicities, and psychographics of the planters and the planting field.  In some instances He calls a planter  that has significant skills in cross-cultural ministry to plant in a pioneer area.
With the assistance of the Inland NW Church Planting Group you can find a field of focus that matches your team’s giftings.  First, get to know the region.  There are a number of regional cultural nuances that make this a particularly difficult but exciting field to plant a church in. Then connect with us for direction to key areas that might be a good location for you and your team.
If you are both comfortable with the region and its particular culture, and if you have identified a field of focus that seems to be the perfect fit for you and your team, continue on to the Direction page to continue to the application portion of this process.
